ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Directs the functional areas of Human Resources including, but not limited to retention, personnel records, employee relations, benefits administration, organizational development, risk management, safety, training, EEO, and special projects
  • Ability to build partnership with leadership and serve as the principal HR expert for the organization
  • Develops, updates, and manages the consistent application, implementation and improvement of HR policies, procedures, handbooks, performance management, incentive, employee relations, career development, headcount planning, and similar related programs and initiatives
  • Works closely with leaders and management to advise, counsel, and provide coaching and resolution to address team member’s performance; Provides performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Responsible for continuous improvement and innovation as it relates to improving processes, addressing performance, creating action plans and ensuring proper training and development of team members
  • Establishes and maintains an intimate understanding of the business, in the interest of building effective and productive working relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Supervises payroll processes to ensure payroll is processed timely, accurately and in compliance with country, federal, state and local laws
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and technologies in HR, employment law, applies this knowledge and communicate as appropriate
  • Oversees the administration of our Risk Management (G/L, Auto, WC, etc.) and Safety programs (IIP, education safety committees, and other safety initiatives or programs)
  • Collaborates with leaders to create comprehensive succession and people plans to positively influence engagement, retention, diversity and inclusion efforts within all regions
  • Manage the company’s benefits programs, including health & welfare, 401k and time off plans; monitors benefits packages for cost effectiveness, value, and competitive adequacy
  • Responsible for Team Member Handbook refinement; supporting high performance, team member engagement, and teamwork
  • Develop and create a training and development platform that supports team member retention and the company’s strategy
  • Assess organizational performance, identify talent gaps, and propose HR solutions that support the business
  • Responsible for Talent Acquisition (work closely with departmental leaders to identify talent attainment priorities and recruiting strategies); Implement effective recruitment and strategies that attract qualified applicants and promote brand awareness
  • Revise/launch team member recognition and reward systems that support organizational goals and are consistent with company’s culture and business strategies
  • Be available to all team members as a coach, counselor, and mentor; be effective at rallying everyone toward the common goals and be an effective bridge builder across all functions and levels within the organization
  • Oversee team member onboarding, orientation, and separations
  • Consult with counsel on conducting investigations and escalating employee relations issues as appropriate
  • Support and be a champion of the company’s mission, vision and core values


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Proven HR experience preferably within a high growth, dynamic organization
  • 7+ years professional HR management experience
  • Understands how to lead change within dynamic and matrix environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects that cut across multiple business units, teams and HR partners from inception through completion
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills and demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of building relationships quickly to act as a trusted advisor
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally; travel 25-30%, annually


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • PHR or SHRM certification
  • ADP Workforce Now / Comprehensive
