Directors
Michael B. Lawler - CEO
Mr. Lawler joined Gatekeeper in 1998. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1980. He spent the next six years with Price Waterhouse, where he became a CPA and achieved the position of Tax Manager. In 1987, Mr. Lawler left Price Waterhouse to serve as Vice President of Finance for Wallace Moir Company, where he became the Chief Financial Officer. In 1989, he moved to Brinderson Real Estate Group, a commercial real estate developer.
In 1994, Mr. Lawler left Brinderson to become the Chief Financial Officer of Belgravia Capital Corporation. From 1998 through 2002, Mr. Lawler was an active partner with Belgravia Capital Partners, LLC, a company that invested in start up and emerging companies, including investing in Gatekeeper in 1998.
Erik Paulson - President
Mr. Paulson joined Gatekeeper in 2001. In 1990, Mr. Paulson graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts, Economics from the University of California, Irvine. After receiving his degree, Mr. Paulson spent three years at The Smyth Companies, a regional commercial real estate development and management firm.
In 1993, Mr. Paulson joined Belgravia Capital Corporation, a commercial mortgage banking company. In his six-year tenure with the company, he held various positions, advancing to the level of Vice President of Capital Markets. From 1999 through 2002, Mr. Paulson was active as a partner with Belgravia Capital Partners, LLC.
Richard John Brandes - Non-Executive Director
Mr. Brandes joined Gatekeeper in 1998. He set up Belgravia Capital Corporation in 1984 which was successfully transformed from a boutique mortgage bank into a leader in the commercial loan origination and securitization industry, before being sold to a large public finance company in 1997.

Brett Osterfeld - Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Mr. Osterfeld joined Gatekeeper in 2001. After earning his Bachelor's Degree in 1988 from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Mr. Osterfeld joined the Sales & Strategic Product Launch Group at Eastman Kodak, where he served until 1993.
From 1993 through 1997, Mr. Osterfeld acted as the Vice President of Strategic Planning and Development for Belgravia Capital Corporation, a commercial mortgage banking company. Following his tenure at Belgravia, Mr. Osterfeld worked for two years at Finova Realty Capital, a financial services company. In 1999, Mr. Osterfeld acted as President of Treatwells, a developer and manufacturer of equestrian nutritional products.
As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Brett Osterfeld is responsible for directing North American Sales efforts and implementing global marketing strategy.
Stephen Hannah - Vice President of Engineering
Mr. Hannah joined Gatekeeper in 2004. He earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan in 1980.
Mr. Hannah joined Hughes Aircraft Company, where he held various management-level positions. In 1996, Mr. Hannah joined Sony Transcom Inc., a provider of entertainment electronics for the aviation industry. From 1998 through 2002, Mr. Hannah served as Vice President of Engineering for DataCritical Inc., a provider of wireless and mobile care solutions. In 2002, DataCritical was acquired by General Electric Medical Systems and Mr. Hannah was named as Director of Engineering for the newly formed Wireless and Mobile Care Center of Excellence.
As Vice President of Engineering, Mr. Hannah is responsible for directing technology and product development.
Fred Chiu - Manager of Global Sourcing
Mr. Chiu joined Gatekeeper Systems (HK), Ltd in 2002. He graduated from the Hong Kong Technical College (now renamed as The HK Polytechnic University) with a Higher Diploma in Production Engineering.
Mr. Chiu spent the next 6 years at Ampex Ferrotec Ltd in the Production Control and Material Control departments. Following his time at Ampex, he became the Production Control Manager, Purchasing Manager, and Material Manager for various US, European and Hong Kong companies. The companies he worked with included companies dealing with the manufacturing of computers, magnetic heads, IC packaging, power supply, consumer products, and home appliances. After his position as Purchasing Manager of Elec & Eltek Computer Ltd in 1991, he formed his own company for sourcing and exporting electronic components and manufacturing of computer mouse's and trackball's which were exported to the US and Switzerland.
Mr. Chiu set up the Gatekeeper Systems (HK) Ltd office in Hong Kong in 2002 and is now the Manager of Global Sourcing for Gatekeeper Systems (HK). He is responsible for the Far East sourcing and China manufacturing.
Daniel M. Cerio, Jr. CPA - Vice President of Finance
Mr. Cerio joined Gatekeeper in 2007. Mr. Cerio graduated Summa Cum Laude from Azusa Pacific University School of Business with a degree in Accounting. Upon graduation, he served as a Senior Auditor at KPMG LLP.
During his tenure there, he obtained experience in several industries and excelled in Financial Services, Technology and Manufacturing.The scope of his work included evaluation and consultation concerning business practices, technology application and the propriety of internal controls. Mr. Cerio most recently served as a Senior Analyst for the Westcorp family of companies, an organization that is involved in the Banking and Consumer Auto Finance industries. In this capacity, he was responsible for the SEC filings of two public companies within the Westcorp umbrella as well as certain filings delivered to the Office of Thrift and Supervision. Most recently, he was integral in the completion of a $ 34 million dollar secondary stock offering for WFS Financial, an 87 % owned subsidiary of Westcorp.
Throughout his career, Mr. Cerio has received extensive training in SEC rules & regulations as well as principles set forth by the Financial Accounting Standards Board. As Vice President of Finance, Mr. Cerio is responsible for overseeing the long-term financial development of the company and managing the internal financial and administrative operations.
